~WHAT TO BRING~


Suggestions For Packing (The stores are a 30 minute drive into town)

FOR THE CABIN
  • Battery Lantern for the cabin (+extra batteries)
  • Small Throw Rug (for next to your bed)
  • Window coverings (enough for 2 large windows - flat sheet or ethnic themed cloth)
  • Extra Hangers (not always enough in the closets)
  • Small Mirror
  • Book Light
  • Firestarters or Fire Log (firewood is readily available at camp.. but can be damp)

BEDDING
     - Cabin beds are extra long twin cots, with a extra thick camp mattress. 
Two twin cots can be pushed together to create a Queen/Std. King (ish) bed for couples.
  • WARM Bedding; either a Sleeping Bag -OR- Sheet Set & Comforter/Blankets
  • Pillow(s) -AND- an Extra Blanket
  • Something to cover the camp mattress; a Sheet, Mattress Cover or Egg Crate Foam Padding

BATHROOMS/SHOWERS
  • Shower shoes are suggested
  • Two bath towels per person (towels dry slowly in the woods)
  • One hand towel
  • Wash cloth or shower scrub
  • Toiletries, shampoo, soap
FYI - There is an Iron and Ironing Board available in the center utility room
        - And electrical outlet plugs for hair dryers etc in each bathroom

AROUND CAMP
  • A Flashlight is essential for the trails at night!
  • Dancing shoes (in dance hall), walking shoes (for trails)
  • Clothing for both warm (day) and cool weather (morning/night) - Think layers!
  • Cash/Checkbook for purchases at camp & the auction.
  • Mosquito repellent / Antihistamine cream
  • Swimsuit, Sunscreen, Beach Towel (for local swimming hole)
  • Digital camera(s) (still and/or camcorder)
  • Travel Umbrella (yes, though rare, it can rain)
Some great EXTRAS to have for classes if applicable -
  • Collapsible Music Stand (w/clips for the band sheet music if it gets windy)
  • Instruments (for yourself, and/or for others to borrow)
  • MP3 player, blank CD discs (CD‐R), digital recorder
  • Songbooks for our sing-alongs (eefc Balkan Songbook, Ladarke, 60's-80's Rock etc.)
