MFC Family Grants

Picture
This year, Folklore Camp has a brand new offering – A kids’ program with wonderful teachers offering dance, music, games, crafts, and nature activities. To help kick off this program, the camp also has special grants available to help families with children attend camp. (And remember, children 0-12 attend camp for free while teens and young adults receive significant discounts!)

Grants are available in amounts up to $450 per adult. (A family may also request a lesser amount according to need.) Grant funds come from individual donations from the community.

To help the Family Grant Committee make a decision about awarding grants, you must submit a letter of application. Priority will be given to those who submit application letters by April 1st, but late application will be considered until funds are exhausted.  Please submit  completed application letters to
[email protected]

In your letter, please include your contact information and address the following:
  1. How have members of your family participated in dance or music activities?
  2. What about Folklore Camp attracts you?
  3. Tell us about your camp plans for this year.
    • Is your family interested in attending full or part time?
    • Which kinds of classes and camp activities are members of your family especially interested in participating?
    • What do you hope to gain from the experience?
    • What amount of funding are you requesting?
  4. Is there anything else for us to consider?

Thank you for your application. Once submitted, we will soon be in touch with you about whether we can offer your family an MFC Family Grant.
