Meadow Lo – Kids Track Instructor

Picture
Meadow Lo has been teaching music to children in various capacities for over 15 years. She teaches vocal & instrumental music, as well as musical theater and crafting, to students in pre-school - 8th grade in Arcata, CA. Meadow is a Northern California native and studied vocal performance and music education at Humboldt State University, where she obtained teaching credentials in both music and multiple subjects. Meadow first fell in love with tradition international music in a folk dance class in college. Her love of the music eventually led her to attending a folk music and dance camp in the Mendocino woodlands. She was instantly enthralled by the magical experience and vowed to come back to a camp every year. She has kept the promise with herself, returning each year and, most recently, bringing her two year old and three month old sons to folklore camp last summer. She now regularly performs international music for folk dancing as a member of the band Chubritza, playing Bulgarian and Macedonian tambura, trumpet, bass, tupan drum, doumbek and singing in many languages. She delights in sharing her love of folk music, dance and crafts with children.
