    The picturesque town of Mendocino is just 9 miles from the Woodlands. Mendocino is well-known for its art community and turn of the century charm. The town has many fine art galleries, shops and restaurants. Art classes are often offered at the Mendocino Art Center.



    The nearby town of Fort Bragg provides most of the necessities and many of the pleasures of life. There is a variety of food and hardware stores, a hospital, many fine restaurants and a growing number of galleries. The Skunk Train to Willits can be boarded in Fort Bragg.

    This and more are all within a half hour's drive of the Mendocino Woodlands.
