We have a themed party everyday at happy hour. Each of the teachers has a party they organize with the help of campers. These parties always feature some aspect of their culture and can be crazy and funny, or serious (like our Bulgarian wedding in 2004). Our campers who help plan and organize these parties are wonderfully creative and we always have a wonderful time. The photos will give you a better sense of these.
You will see all kinds of dress in the photos. There are some wonderful ethnic costumes, especially at the teacher parties. Most people love coming up with a costume to match the theme although others are perfectly content in ordinary clothes. It really doesn't matter what you wear. The main thing is to have a good time.
Our camp bazaar can be a source of costume pieces. The bazaar is open most days and has second hand clothing at inexpensive prices. Susie, who runs the bazaar, is very helpful in making suggestions for costumes. Plus there are often some wonderful ethnic costumes available at our auctions.
